Carey has more than 20 years of experience in the field of visual communication and graphic design. She has worked for dozens of clients, serving vastly different industries, making her a true asset to the TSN Communications family.
Specializing in association communications, Carey was art director for an association management firm for nine years before starting her freelance career in 2002. She has designed hundreds of pieces for associations and corporate clients including magazines, brochures, postcards, websites, flyers, ads, trade show graphics, newsletters and even novelty items, like beach towels, flip-flops and, once, a label for a bottle of hot sauce.
Carey has the ability to create thoughtful designs that are both beautiful and usable. Good design begins with creativity, but it doesn’t end there. It has to make sense and lead the audience somewhere. It has to have form and function.
She has won awards for excellence in publication design including Apex awards from ASAE (American Society of Association Publishing) and Excel awards from SNAP (the Society for National Association Publishing).
Carey earned a bachelor’s degree in Visual Communication from Towson University and a master’s degree in Publication Design from the University of Baltimore.
